There are about three months to go until the FCCN 2025 Conference, which will take place from May 6 to 8 in Coimbra, with the close support of the University of Coimbra and Coimbra City Council

At this time of anticipation, it is important to remember the opinion of those who attended the last edition of this meeting of the national academic and research community.

"A great time for networking, not only with the academic community, but also with partners and competitors"

In 2024, the FCCN Days had 35 sponsors from the Information Technology area associated with the Knowledge branch, and Axians was one of the companies that attended. Tiago Farias, Account Executive at Axians, shared that the FCCN Days are "a great time for networking, not only with the academic community, but also with partners and competitors. It creates an environment conducive to leveraging business and directing our solutions to this community". "In 2025, Axians hopes to participate again and make this journey with the academic community," he concludes.

The community served by the digital services of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), developed by FCCN, also shared their feedback on the meeting. For Ana Migueis, librarian responsible for the Integrated Management Systems and Services Area at the University of Coimbra, "the Days are a very important moment for bringing communities together and where there is always the aspect of communication and connection between people".

Pedro Marques, Systems Administrator at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon, shared that over the years he has come to the meeting to find out what is being done in the RCTS community, exchange experiences and understand the state of play in the area of Information Technology. "It's always nice to be with other colleagues who perform the same functions and exchange experiences. We come to realize that their problems are the same as ours and we learn how we can tackle these issues and solve them."

The 2025 edition

Registration for the 16th edition of the initiative is still open, so anyone interested can reserve their place on the registration platform.
