The call for participation is extended to all those interested in joining the European Commission's new network for industry and academia, as part of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy. Applications for expressions of interest to join the network are open until January 5, 2025.
The main objective of this network is to bridge the skills and talent gap in cybersecurity in the European Union, relying on synergies and cooperation between industry and academia.
In this sense, the industry-academia network of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy encourages all parties to join forces to ensure an adequate response to growing needs and to promote a safe digital environment for all Europeans.
All interested organizations can join the network, such as companies in the cybersecurity sector, higher education institutions, vocational education and training providers, as well as alliances between European universities.
Based on the results of the High-Level Round Table on Cyberskills, held in May, this network aims to align the needs of the labor market with academic and training offers, contributing to the qualification of the workforce and the attractiveness of the European Union in the field of cybersecurity.
This has been one of the European Union's main priorities in recent years, in order to guarantee a digital economy that remains danger-free and competitive.
