The Call for IC&DT Projects - Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Cybersecurity of relevance to Public Administration is part of the PRR Investment - C05-i08 - More Digital Science. This call for proposals from the Foundation for Science and Technology is open until July 31, 2024.
Support for projects in different phases, with a maximum amount of 125,000 euros per project
The initiative aims to support scientific research and technological development projects at all stages, from exploratory activities to proofs of concept.
Candidate projects should focus on one of the following areas: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science; Design of digital services and interaction design, from an interdisciplinary and user-centered perspective; Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Governance.
Eligible entities
Research teams from organizations such as:
- Higher Education Institutions, their institutes and R&D units, State Laboratories, Associated or International Laboratories based in Portugal;
- Private non-profit institutions whose main purpose is R&D activities, including Collaborative Laboratories (CoLab) and Technology and Innovation Centers (CTI);
- Other public and private non-profit institutions that carry out or participate in scientific research activities.
- Companies of any nature and in any legal form, as long as they are part of R&TD projects led by non-business entities in the R&I system.
Deadlines and financing
This call for proposals has a budget of €8,375,000 and projects will have a maximum duration of 12 months. Expenses incurred by the final beneficiaries between January 1, 2023 and October 31, 2025 are eligible, with a maximum funding per project of €125,000.00.
Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. (mainland Portugal time) on July 31, 2024.
