The event will take place on November 7th in Lisbon. Expressions of interest are accepted until September 30.

On November 7, International Digital Preservation Day, the meeting New paths for preserving and accessing information will be held, promoted by FCT - Science and Technology Archive and Arquivo.pt, FCT's digital service, developed through FCCN. The initiative will take place in the Torre do Tombo auditorium in Lisbon's Cidade Universitária.

This meeting aims to discuss the challenges faced by information and documentation professionals in areas such as the production, organization, availability and preservation of information in digital format. It will also address issues such as the development of means and mechanisms that allow information and knowledge to be accessed and reused in a transparent and democratic way, guaranteeing its digital preservation and long-term consultation.

The event is intended to be an opportunity to address issues related to policies, strategies, methodologies and intervention experiences, as well as to promote reflection on the main challenges facing us and the strategies we need to define to deal with them.

The Expression of Interest to be part of the Community Space, with presentations of seven minutes each, is open until September 30 and information should be requested via email: arquivo@fct.pt, using the template provided for this purpose.
