The Foundation for Science and Technology, through FCCN, is inviting potential interested parties from the national Science, Technology, Innovation and Public Administration sectors to submit expressions of interest for access to the pre-production phase of the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). The work is expected to last three months, starting in June/July 2024.
MareNostrum 5 (MN5) is a new European supercomputing platform installed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), in which Portugal has a 5% stake. The physical and logical assembly of the two largest computational partitions was recently completed.
Applications open until June 27th
Interested parties should complete and submit the simplified form at https://forms.office.com/e/1Qn351dt7, available until June 27, 2024 . This access is only intended for research or pre-commercial innovation projects.
This process closes when the available resources are exhausted or when the A3 - MareNostrum 5 projects are approved in the 4th Computing Projects Calls Advanced.
