The Foundation for Science and Technology, through the FCCN, invites potential interested parties from the national sectors of Science, Technology, Innovation and Public Administration to submit expressions of interest to join the pre-production phase of the new MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP). Work is expected to last three months, starting in June/July 2024.
MareNostrum 5 (MN5) is a new European supercomputing platform installed in Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), in which Portugal has a 5% stake, with the physical and logical assembly of the two largest computing partitions having recently been completed.
Applications open until June 27th
Interested parties must complete and submit the simplified form at https://forms.office.com/e/1Qn351dt7, available until June 27, 2024. This access is intended for pre-commercial research or innovation projects only.
This process will end when available resources are exhausted or when type A3 – MareNostrum 5 projects are approved in the 4th Advanced Computing Projects Competition.
