The European Commission is opening applications for the new High Performance Computing (HPC) programme, a pan-European specialization that builds on the knowledge acquired in the previous EUMaster 4HPC pilot project. Applications are open until May 14, 2025.
The master's degree aims to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities in the HPC landscape and to train specialists in this area, developing the themes of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing. Candidates from universities, research institutions and consortia who meet the criteria are eligible.
It also includes an advanced training curriculum, covering specialized modules in systems architecture, software development, operations and the use of HPC. The program will address some of society's most significant challenges, applying High Performance Computing to crucial areas such as climate modelling, healthcare optimization and drug development.
The project will last six years, with four groups of students being trained over the course, and will ensure the development of a highly qualified European workforce in the field of Advanced Computing, which will help to strengthen Europe's leadership in this field and promote collaboration between academia and industry through the exchange of knowledge.
All the information about this program is available on the European Commission's website.
