A International HPC Summer School 2025 will bring together participants from all over the world in the city of Lisbon, from July 6 to 11, 2025, and FCT, through the digital services unit FCCN, is hosting the event, which is being held for the first time in Portugal. Registration registration is open until January 31, 2025.
All graduate students and post-doctoral scholars from institutions in Australia, Canada, Europe (countries belonging to the European Union), the United States of America (USA) and Japan are invited to apply for the 15th edition of the International HPC Summer School.
This event aims to familiarize computer science students with the main aspects of HPC(High Performance Computing) and big data analysis for a variety of scientific disciplines, as well as to catalyze networking, provide advanced mentoring, and facilitate international exchange that opens doors to new career options.
The training sessions are led by leading experts in Advanced Computing from the organization's partner regions, who will provide input on a wide variety of topics.
The HPC Summer School is sponsored by EuroHPC Joint Undertaking(EuroHPC JU) through the HPC SPECTRA project in Europe, by the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre (Pawsey) in Australia, the Digital Research Alliance of Canada(DRAC), the RIKEN Center for Computational Science(R-CCS) in Japan, the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and the University of Texas at Austin in the USA. These institutions are joined by organizations from South Africa (NICIS CHPC and NITheCS) and the UK(EPCC), which conduct their selection processes.
