Every day, thousands of students, teachers and researchers use FCCN, the digital services of the Foundation for Science and Technology, to create knowledge and science. Find out how we support the teaching and research community in this task by taking a look at some of our projects.

Arquivo.pt

With Arquivo.pt it is possible to find information published online since the 1990s, in a simple and intuitive way, and to consult web pages from the past that are no longer available.

This information can be used for academic work and scientific research, for example, but also by anyone interested in visiting the Internet's past.

b-on

Used daily by people from all over the country, b-on (Online Knowledge Library) offers unlimited and permanent access to thousands of periodicals and e-books published by some of the leading international publishers.

By aggregating the demand of institutions in a centralized negotiation, this digital service, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024, allows its members to access a much more complete set of contents - something that would not be economically viable on an individual basis.

Science ID

The aim of the CIÊNCIA ID service is simple - to be a single authentication and identification system for all the platforms in the national science ecosystem. In this way, researchers can have permanent access to various services from a single login. CIÊNCIA ID also makes it easier to find scientific material and researchers working in specific sectors of activity, for example.

SCIENCE VITAE

In the course of their work, scientists have to submit their CV information multiple times to various entities. CIÊNCIAVITAE aims to simplify the sharing of this information by consisting of a database of researchers that gathers information such as their identifier, training, positions, skills, area of research, publications, affiliation, among others.

INDEXAR

INDEXAR is our service capable of identifying the repositories and digital scientific journals that exist at national level in the various areas of knowledge. In this way, it is an online reference for locating, validating and preserving relevant scientific content in the areas of science, technology and culture. For this reason, it is today an important aid for research carried out in Portugal.
