The webinar "Open Science in Expansion: New Models, Evaluation and Open Data" brought together more than 300 participants in a debate dedicated to scientific activity carried out in an open, collaborative and transparent way, a practice that facilitates the sharing and communication of processes and results. The recording of the session and the presentation are now available for anyone to watch or review.
This initiative, part of the celebrations of the International Open Science Week, was attended by several members of the Open Science team of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the digital services unit FCCN, and the Co-Chair of the recently created National Chapter of CoARA.
During the online session, speakers and the audience took stock of the work carried out in this field to date, highlighting some indicators and new developments. Also discussed were the New Models of Scientific Communication, the Diamond Initiative, the theme of Research Assessment and the National Program for Open Science and Open Research Data, a measure integrated into investment RE-C05-i08 - Ciência Mais Digital, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
The main aim of the webinar was to raise awareness and promote Open Science practices among researchers, science managers, students and the general public, which was very well received and praised by all participants.
