The Dataverse Community Meeting 2023 (#Dataverse2023, #GDI, #RepositoriosDados) will take place in Braga, at the University of Minho, June 5-7.
This year's theme is dedicated to Sharing data for future generations: sustainability, trust and community building.
Open infrastructures, research data management services and tools, and standards are needed to open data sustainably. The provision of open access data has grown and adequate repository services must be guaranteed to enable future proper reuse of data. When datasets are made available, there is enormous untapped potential, which will be of invaluable relevance for future generations. Linking shared data and data repository networks will enable faster discovery and accessibility, which can impact disaster risk reduction. With this theme at the Dataverse meeting in 2023, the issue of sustainability of services and infrastructures is emphasized, reflecting on their impact on data quality (FAIR and open) as a contribution to further research on disaster response.
