Meeting gathered, in Porto, the secondary schools participating in this project that aims to "reduce the barriers to entry into higher education".
The Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) was the place chosen to host the eight schools across the country that joined the first edition of the UP2U project. Thus, during the afternoon of 9 January, it was possible to get to know the project overview, the UP2U ecosystem tools and also some teaching/learning methodologies.
During the session, it was also possible for the participating schools to make a short presentation on the main opportunities and challenges involved in the implementation of the project.
UP2U is "an international pilot project with various secondary schools" that offers immediate access to various educational tools in order to "enhance new methodologies and teaching practices in secondary education". Platforms for collaborative editing, social interaction or educational analysis and management are just a few examples.
In a first phase, Italy, Greece, Switzerland and Poland are participating in the project. Portugal, Spain, Germany, Hungary and Lithuania are now joining the work.
In Portugal, UP2U activities will continue with specific training dedicated to each of the tools included in the project.
