The new website of the Science and Technology Foundation's Unit FCCN reformulates the presentation of this unit, focusing on communication tailored to the various audiences that make up its community, namely students and researchers.
"Technology for Knowledge" is the motto of the Unit's new website FCCN. Unveiled earlier this month, it highlights the technological solutions and resources that this unit makes available to the academic and research community (ranging from librarians to students, researchers, teachers and other employees of institutions), through its national education and research network - the Science, Technology and Society Network (RCTS).
In order to highlight the services available to these audiences, the new website offers the possibility of carrying out a search segmented by user functions. On the other hand, it also organizes the services by the technological areas that form the pillars of the Unit's mission FCCN: Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge, Security and Innovation. Taking these changes into account, the new site results in a simplification of communication, basing it on the different user profiles.
Another of the new portal's main innovations is the creation of a "blog" section where experts from the Unit FCCN and the community will share knowledge about technologies, with the aim of bringing the various audiences connected to this unit closer together by creating a digital meeting point.
Finally, it also strengthens the information dimension of the services' activity FCCN, providing more up-to-date metrics on solutions such as Colibri, Educast, the NAU Platform, RCAAP or RCTSaai. In the section of the portal dedicated to Innovation, users are also challenged to leave suggestions for services or projects to be carried out by the Unit FCCN, which may be useful to the rest of the community.
